Hangout: Saturday at The Wine Club

Having passed the 30 year old mark some time ago (and having your siblings have kids, have your friends have kids, etc.), you and your friends (or click) will be appropriately called titos/titas of Manila. 

Well for the tito in me, when I think of a Friday or Saturday night, I don't think about the club, dancing and some loud music. I think of a quiet dinner or some drinks in a cozy place where you can sit down, relax and have a nice conversation with friends. 

Tucked in Legaspi Village is the wine bar The Wine Club. If your a wine lover, connaisseur, or someone who graduated from beer, then this is the place. Once inside, you will be surrounded with an array of different wines from all over. This is not your ordinary wine from the grocery as these are pricier (and I was told they supply restaurants and hotels around the city).

Other than their impressive selection of wines, they also serve food (though we didn't try any of their Entrees). I was also told that they also do some wine tasting where you can sample multiple wines with a buffet (now that's a good idea!).

We had 2 bottles of Rose and just something to nibble on. Don't know what to order, the staff is helpful and eager to provide suggestions.

It's a cozy space (seating is limited) and you're surrounded by wine (no windows). Old barrels were also re-purposed and used on their tables.

Overall, The Wine Club is a nice cozy place to get wine and have a good time with friends. Will definitely hangout here again.
