Pre New Year Staycation at Vivere Hotel
Vivere Hotel in Alabang is one of the first hotels to be established in the Alabang area. I have been to the hotel many times before, especially dining at their restaurant at the 31st floor, aptly named The Nest, but I haven’t had the opportunity to stay here.
Since I had a coupon expiring from Agoda, I thought it was the perfect opportunity to use it and have a pre-New Year staycation. Combined with a flash deal price (also from Agoda), I was able to book a deluxe suite the room for a huge discount.
Accessibility and Location: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Located at the bustling Filinvest City in Alabang, the hotel can be reached via South Luzon Expressway (exiting either at South Station, Alabang or Filinvest) or via Alabang-Zapote Road. Three malls surround the hotel, the closest being Festival Mall, followed by Commercenter and a little farther away is Alabang Town Center. The hotel is also near a lifestyle center, Westgate for additional dining and entertainment options. For business travelers, Vivere is nearby Northgate Cyberzone which is a busy BPO (Business Process Outsourcing) hub south of the metro.
For guests using public transportation, public utility vehicles plying the Alabang route via South Luzon Expressway can go down at South Station terminal in Alabang or if via Alabang-Zapote Road, can go down at Northgate Cyberzone.
Room: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
My room was a deluxe suite on the 23rd floor (Room 2301 to be exact) overlooking the Alabang/Laguna area. I liked the crisp monochrome interiors (the white was really clean looking) and I particularly liked that the room smelled good (it smelled fresh and clean). The room had a kitchenette area with a small sink. The kitchenette had an electric kettle (with coffee and tea) room refrigerator and mini bar. I had a small sitting area with a couch and table, complete with tableware and cutlery for when I decide to have room service. I also had a desk area with stationery and I liked the personal touch and appreciated that there was a note welcoming me to Vivere.
The bathroom had a bathtub/shower combo and I liked that they didn’t skimp on the toiletries, I really liked their soap.
Amenities: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
The hotel offers a complete package with regard to amenities. There are 2 in-house restaurants, The Nest restaurant and bar at the 31st floor for al fresco dining and Jinsei at the ground floor to satisfy your Japanese cravings.
The Lama Outdoor pool is located at the 4th floor. The pool area is a little tight considering the number of guests that the hotel can accommodate.
There are a few tables, chairs and couches for sitting. There are also a couple of lounge chairs at either end of the pool for sun bathing.
Towels will be provided after registering. Kudos to the hotel for their effort on upcycling/recycling because I noticed that the vases on the tables were actually old jars of mayonnaise.

The spa and Jacuzzi are located at the 8th floor. There’s only one Jacuzzi so this needs to be booked in advance and you’ll have an hour to enjoy. Jacuzzi area is private for you and your guest. There’s a sitting area, a bathroom (complete with toiletries) and bath robes.
For business travelers, there’s a business center at the ground floor with private conference rooms.
For international travelers, the hotel offers money exchange however there are no ATM’s on-site. The hotel is surrounded by different banks with an ATM facility for your cash needs.
Food: ⭐️⭐️⭐️.5
As previously mentioned, the hotel has 2 in house restaurants, The Nest and Jinsei.
Jinsei is the hotel’s Japanese restaurant located at the ground floor.
I tried their Tonkotsu Ramen and had their Rainbow Roll. The ramen, they said was their specialty, although for me it was OK, I did expect more since they did say it was their specialty. I was asking more about the ramen however the staff couldn’t really explain it (it wasn’t shio or shoyu) and he was telling me it was like milk etc. (rambling).
The rainbow roll I liked, it was basically a California roll wrapped in tuna and salmon sashimi and mangoes. Prices were not as expensive (knowing this is a hotel restaurant) and my meal costs around 600 pesos (no service charge). Staff was pleasant and helpful, kudos.

I had 2 complimentary drink vouchers included in my room so I decided to take a night cap. 31 floors up is The Nest bar and restaurant that gives diners stunning views of the city. On a clear day or night, you can see the buildings or the bright lights of the skyscrapers of Makati and BGC.
The cuisine is international with a special selection of Filipino favorites. This is a perfect place to celebrate special occasions, go on a romantic date or just have a few drinks with your friends. The price range is on the upscale side with the entrees on the 500 pesos and up range. Drinks come with bar snacks (small bowl of chips and nuts) so you have some nibbles while having your drink.
Overall: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️.5
Finally, after eating here a couple of times, I was able to finally stay here (even for a night). Everything from the chic room, the hotel amenities, the restaurant and the location makes this hotel perfect whether you’re staying for business or for leisure. I will definitely comeback and stay again at this hotel.
